What is the Kyarumba Girls Education Fund

The Kyarumba Girls Education Fund is the first big project of the local community in Uganda, namely of the Bwimaniro Women´s Club (BWC). The Fund aims at sending young girls in Kyarumba to school and to enable them to realise their dreams in life!

The Neighbours of Kyarumba at nabuur.com have discussed the targets, the scope and finances of the Fund in the previous months. You can access this information at the Kyarumba web-site (another wonderful initiative of the Neighbours of this Village!).




What is the on-line donation event? Why is it important?

The on-line donation event is almost a historical point in this project! After months of discussions, it is finally time to launch the Fund through the Kyarumba site! This means to invite people to the site, to inform them on the project and to eventually have their financial support!

It goes of course without saying, that if financial resources are not gathered the local community cannot afford implement its programm for educating girls, as almost all of them need to stay with their families and struggle for daily life...



What has been achieved so far?

The design and content of the Kyarumba web-site, the Kyarumba Girls Education Fund, it has all been planned with the great support of the Neighbours of this Forum! Dennis, Marianne, Clare(s), Ben, Manuel, are just some of the people who have helped us so far!
